It’s a Wrap; Sublimating Skinny Tumblers in an Air Fryer

Who knew your air fryer could be a sublimation station?

Let’s dive into a fun and easy way to customize your skinny tumblers. In this tutorial, we’ll be using a technique that’s both innovative and efficient: sublimation with shrink wrap in an air fryer.

*disclaimer When you use your air fryer or any machine for sublimation you can not use it for food any longer)

What You’ll Need:

• Skinny tumbler
• Sublimation paper with your desired design
• Heat tape
• Shrink wrap
• Heat gun
• Air fryer ( you won’t be using for food)

Step-by-Step Guide:

1. Prep Your Tumbler:
   • Start by giving your tumbler a good cleaning. A quick wipe-down with a microfiber cloth will remove any dust or fingerprints that could interfere with the sublimation process.
2. Apply Your Design:
   • Carefully place your sublimation paper onto the tumbler, ensuring it’s centered and smooth.
   • Secure the paper with heat tape, focusing on the edges.
3. Wrap It Up:
   • Put the shrink wrap over your tumbler.
   • Use a heat gun to gently shrink the wrap, ensuring it adheres tightly to the tumbler.
   • Make sure there are no wrinkles or air bubbles.
   • Pay close attention to the edges and seams to prevent any gaps.
4. Air Fryer Magic:
   • Place your wrapped tumbler into the air fryer.
   • Set the temperature to 180 degrees Fahrenheit and the time to 4 minutes then turn the tumbler and set it for 4 more minutes
5. Reveal Your Creation:
   • Once the timer goes off, carefully remove your tumbler from the air fryer.
   • Let it cool completely before unwrapping the shrink wrap.
   • you can also let it cool in a bucket of water

And voila! You’ve got a beautifully customized skinny tumbler.
